Sports day

I went for squash, tennis, and badminton that summed up to 5 hours of exercise. Continuously. Am I crazy or something? Missing something? Yea. Table tennis. A sport in which my other friend asked if I wanted to play sometime after lunch. Possibly have something planned out later tonight.Tonight. Better be a good night sleep.

p/s: tennis seems interesting. a little too much for me to handle though.

Just some thoughts

I was reading a friend's blog about her feelings towards that "someone". Then came the whole issue of hatrecy vs. forgiveness. And that triggered a thought, buried in the depths of my mind.

I remember, there's this once when something along these lines were discussed in a bible study session at church. I don't exactly remember what the question was, but I remember the response that I gave, that is the fact that "I find it harder to forgive someone that's dear to me, than the other person who does not mean anything to me." I continued,"I feel this way, probably because I feel that someone who's close to me should know me well enough, to not hurt me, betray me."

For those who know me really well, you'd probably know that I have a rather care-free personality. I, for the most part of if choose to just let it go, than to hate. To summarize things up, you must mean something to me, before you can even get an opportunity for me to hate you. Therefore, it is a really difficult task for me, to be hating someone.

And so, I left this comment in my friend's "blog": it is hard to hate, even harder to forgive.

Maybe you'll all better understand the complexity of my thoughts a little better. And hopefully, our friendships will continue to last for years to come.

Day 3: Spring break that feels like Summer break!

Slept pretty late the night before, thanks to the proofreading work (bleh). Woke up rather late, after every one but Kitky, left at home. I lazily woke up, and showered, then departed to Chin's with Kitky for lunch. I had "firecracker noodes". It was yummy :) Then, with the extra time, we went to North Pole!!! HAHA Well, north pole because that place was covered with so much snow that it looked like it from afar. It was interesting to see oji-san's fishing on it. Then, as she walked to B-school for class, I climb "the hill" to meet up with Lincoln (the statue version :P) While waiting for Peng, I went walking around the area, saw more colleges and all.

Peng came about 30 minutes later. Took some pictures, and departed to the Capitol. It looked similar to the one we have in Lansing. The difference? The base of the building was square shaped. And maybe the different environment, and statues that were surrounding the governmental building. Took some rather crazy pictures here. Then, we went to Ben and Jerry's for ice cream. I was superlicious!

Next was the bookstore, followed by shops that sold t-shirts and caps. We took WACKY photos, NON STOP! It was especially fun when Kitky, Steph and Peng were there! They'd just go along with me, as in, get wild and all. And that's what I call sporting :P Ya'll will see what I mean with the pictures. Went back to Kitky's apartment having done that because it was raining. I'm sort of disappointed that I didn't get to visit the stadium, sled, and make a snowman. Nevertheless, it was equally satisfying to have us hang out in the apartment, watching movies.

Later at night, the same bunch from the night before went to Takara, a teppanyaki place, to celebrate Stephie's birthday. It was very (again) yummy and entertaining. Even more so when someone came out with a "gong" and hitting it rhythmically when we were singing the Birthday song to her!

Then we went back the apartment. Watch movies. Ate more! (buffalo wings) and just hung out together. Altho I'd like to confess that I slept when watching one of the movies :P Then, all of them went to sleep, while I started packing my stuff as I had an early bus to catch.

And so, those were the adventures that I've had during my Spring break in Madison, Wisconsin. I am again, glad that I've chosen to spend my time there, even if it was a short 4-day, 3-nights visit.

I had a great time. And hope that it's the same thing for all of you!

Before I move on to my third arc of the spring break, I'd like say a BIG thank you to:

Peng and Steph, for bringing me around, and answering my ridiculously lame requests

Mike and Kitky, for being a wonderful host and friend.

And to Kitky, I especially thank you for being such an awesome companion over the 3 days, may it be talking to me till the wee hours of the morning, or even bringing me around Madison.

I want you to know that I really appreciate your time and effort :)

As a closure, I wish you all a warm and exciting Spring break just like mine.

Day 2: Spring break that feels like Summer break!

Thursday started with class at the Business School. Kitky had me tag along to allow me to experience class at UWM. Okay. I admit that I wasn't all that interested in the topic discussed. Nevertheless, I was (awake most of the time, with sleepy eyes, and) amazed by the class room environment. It was a rather small lecture hall. Not something that you would see in MSU. However, I must say that the business library looks, A WHOLE LOT like the one at MSU. The only difference, smaller in size.

Then, we went to walk around the campus. First, to the Communications building. I found the departments fascinating BUT that place was a MAZE! Couldn't really find the rooms that we were going to do a little sneak peek on. It was also this time, when I came across college newspapers, like the State News (they have more than 3 in total *gasps*).

We continued to play the guessing game, as to which routes we should take when we were at the Arts building. Finally gave up. And visited the Cazen Museum of Arts that was just next door. We spent at least 2 hours in there. Observing different form of arts on all 3 floors; consisting sculptures, paintings, mixed media arts. It was mesmerizing :)

Later that day, Kitky and I went window shopping around State Street. Also spent a whole lot of time looking at mysterious products that were sold in different stores.

Then came Peng Zhir, who was earlier, trying to figure out the "three hand" shop (doesn't exist). I told him that we were at shop 310. You're an outcast dude :P Nothing to do with generation gap! :P We then once again, walked to B-school to meet up with Mike, Sum, and later Stephanie. Walked to Coreana for dinner.

Then, spent a lot of time walking around, taking pictures!!! Seriously, the only conversations that I remember from the time we left the restaurant till we're back at Kitkys are these 2 lines. 1. GENERATION GAP! 2. YOU'RE AN OUTCAST!.. Lol.. no offense. I guess we were too busy taking pictures *ehem* And I too, was too busy looking at different things.*NOTE: pictures will be posted in a seperate post :)

Went back to Kitky's to watch Barn Yard (*CAUTION: this was a hilariously entertaining movie for me, along with Kitky, Mike (who watched a lil) and Peng Zhir. Having done that, the three of them started working on their assignments and all, and it was at this time when I found out that I'd have company on my ride home on Saturday, They're none other than Kee Koon, and REINALDO!!!! yay!

Ate supper. They ate cereals when I ate the crazy spicy noodle. I thought that the name was rather funny. HAHA.

Day 1: Spring break that feels like Summer break!

On Wednesday morning, I departed for Madison Wisconsin. The train was, as usual, an hours late! Surprisingly, it was freezing cold that morning. And I was glad that I had an extra layer of fleece. Nonethtless, I pity my poor feet. It was shaking. HAHA. Alright. So, with the delay of the train, I wasn't able to catch the 12:35p.m. bus at Chicago's Union Station. However, I was able to change the ticket to the next bus (a couple of hours later). Stranded (if you would) at that place, I wasn't too motivated to move around Downtown Chicago. 1. the place didn't look too familliar because of the blanket of snow. And 2. I was a little too tired to move around.

The whole experience of travelling on land was amusing. I met with students from different universities, with their mothers, travelling with them for spring break, which according to them (the mothers), is so not cool. I wonder if they really mean it. HAHA. I know I spend most of my holidays with my family. A culture shock? Not shock, shock, but maybe a little. However, what really caught my attention was a little puppy on the bus. I digress, as I wasn't able to take a good picture :(

And so, spring break felt like Summer break for the first time when friends that has been seperated for 2 years met up once again. It was amazing, to have met Kitky and Mike. More amazing to find out of my claim to their living room, as my territory, as long as I am here.. MUAHAHA.

Then, came crazy Peng. After a rather long debate (among Kitky and MIke), Three of us, Peng, Kitky, and I went to a Thai restaurant nearby (it felt so near because I was busy talking to them, I think) for some dinner for me, supper for them. I forgot the restaurant's name. But here's what they served. *Peng was not dissecting anything :P

Having left the dinner place, we went back to Kitky's apartment, talked..talked.. talked.. talked.. (Peng left midway).. talked talked.. talked.. until 1a.m. Lots of catching up, I suppose.. HAHA! However, I felt bad that Kitky didn't have the time to study for her test the following day. *hides at one corner of the room.

I know that this is the first part of, don't know how many parts, but KUDOS to my host :D Love you! To honor this very special person, you (SHOULD ALL) visit her blog, Young and Childish There's lot of good thoughts put in there! SO, GO CHECK IT OUT!!!

March is such a busy month.

March always seemed to be a busy month for me.

Norms.
Assignments, tests, classes. Not to mention, the preparation for portfolio review in April.

And also competition deadlines (p/s: 32517- I am not trying to kill myself with a mountain of work)

Abnorms.
A long list of dates. Birth dates. This is especially important this year, with many of us turning 21.

Then, is the peak season for interviews (for both intern and full time). Here, I'd like to thank David for recommending me to his new employer for intern.

In addition, I received an e-mail from a company, in which I applied for their summer intern position over the Internet. I'm somewhat awed. Afterall, if things goes well, this intern should help me a lot, along the way.

Not going to expect too much from these tho.

A special request from Anastasia to work on her mom's children story book (remember that 200USD?)
