Two movies in a row

Yesterday. Went to Berjaya Square (a.k.a. Times Square) with my family to watch Confession of a Pain. Having collected my re-newed passport. Nasi beriyani on the plate. With a few satays for lunch. Then the roti naan (butter naan rox!), ayam (I don't remember), and (MORE) satay: trio combi for dinner. Yummy yummy.

Today. Went to Times Square again. This time, with two friends from secondary school. A really good first time karaoke-ing. Thought that I lost my voice for an instance. Saw Eragon. Which, I very much prefer over the movie I watched yesterday. Miraculously. Voice came back. Proceeded to some restaurant for "bruncheatime". Ate some pretty good food. Heard about some pretty interesting stuff. And, once again, experience some "breath-taking gigglings". Almost died. I tell you. LOL. Took some pictures with the two I hung out today :)

Comic Life - Just for fun

Was just scanning through the application folder. Found several interesting stuff. This application, in particular allows me to comic-ify my pictures. Seems pretty interesting. Hope that you'll have a good laugh.

On the side note: Have not uploade the pictures yet. I'll get it done, someday. And when that time comes, I would upload some nice ones here. Blame the lack of motivation to the "not-so-bearable" weather. And blood gushing out from my nostrils. LOL

Back (again)

Just came back from Korea. Altho it's my second visit there, it was fun. Went to several places that I did not go to. During the first trip to Korea. Will write in detail about the trip in another post.

On the side note-results are out. And surprise, surprise. I managed a perfect gpa this sem. Pulling my cgpa up to 3.89 :) I'm hoping for the better to come.

12:30p - KLIA

I'm back. After a LONG flight. From the east to the west. Then down south. It was a long trip. And a rather - sleeping all the way through one. The first time when I've travelled without sleeping even for a sec. the night before. The first one that I've almost missed a flight because of some change that happened at the very last minute.

Yes. So, here I am now. Sitting in an office at Low Yat plaza. Having eaten some Malaysian delicacy (curry mee with chicken - or so, it was called). Then ice cream. Which isn't exactly Malaysian. But was worthwhile. Then now, just doing the regular update on my blog. Waiting for time to pass. Waiting for tomorrow. To hang out with a bunch of people. Also, waiting for the other bunch of people to decide the day when we should hang out.

Done with the papers. Now. The projects

Had accounting early this morning. Should be fine. Then, slept like a dead person till 4 something. Continued studying for studio art. Took the exam an hour ago. Did pretty well. I think. Maybe.

Got to know that I A+(ed) every project for the second half of the semester. I was suprised that Helena didn't pull down my grades for some of the projects. Those that had "things" missing. It's hilarious I tell you. Wasn't penalized for any absences (2 times. one of which was covered), since we are allowed 3 absences throughout the semester. That's one reason why I like studio classes! XD

On the side note. I know that I said I was going to post the pic of the (according to 32517) "happy shoes". Seems like I won't be able to do that until the end of NEXT semester because my TA kept it for possible use in the BFA exhibition. In fact, half of my portfolio was missing. For this very same reason. Imagine. A painting on the walls. With spot lights. Next to it, is a label. Man Ee Wong. Untitled 1. BFA in Studio Art (neh.. just kidding. But of course, there's a possibility. Since they do not know that I'm not from their department). That'd be sweet! haha

Allright... I'll procrastinate on something else. Before I start my engines again.

To sleep. Or not to sleep

I'm still working on the homework for ADV354 (Look at the time of the post). And I felt like finishing up ADV322 so that I can allocate more time to finish up ADV324 on Tuesday. And WALA.. hand up everything just on time. Not to mention... there's the STA test (which I plan to read before the test..) Only because I have a whole 12 hours to read it. It's all vocabs. Shouldn't be that hard. More so, vocabs that I'm somewhat, already familliar with.

So... I was thinking, if I should intentionally be sleep depreived for today. And have a sweet time on Tuesday. And readily depart from East Lansing on Wednesday. Or sacrifice a little bit of extra time on Tuesday. And Tuesday night to work on those remaining assignments.

What ever the case may be. I think I shouldn't skip my sleep when there's this ACC test. 7:45 in the morning. And when I'm not even 100% familliar with the materials that it's tested on. It's open book. Another advantage. All I need to do for that test is to get a 7 out of 13 to 4.0 the course. Seems pretty decent.

All right. Back to work

Went for Adeline's, Lok's, Ching's, and Heidi commencement. Didn't come from the start. Was told to turn up during photo shoot.. LOL. It was fun. I end up taking a lot more pictures from this commencement than the last one that I attended. Back in May. I also managed to have a little chit chat here and there with those whom I haven't really been in touch much for this whole semester. It was fun

Bowling. Drumsticks

Went bowling. To hang out with Linda and Andrew (and Elaine) for the last time. Before both of us go home for the break. It was fun. The machines there weren't as good tho. The lanes were a little shorter than what I am used to. Used the 10th ball. Almost felt like it was the 9th ball in Malaysia. Funny throws. Funny conversations. They (again) bought us stuff for our trip back home. This time, we both got an electronic sudoku. Should keep us busy for a while. I was thinking of knitting on the way home. And that too, was a good idea. Cause she gave me a gift card for a store that sells those supplies. Sweet!

Then, went to Elaine's house to surprise Tracy. Apparently, she expected me to turn up tonight. So sweet. She even cooked dinner for me.. haha.. Sweet and Sour soup. With 2 drumsticks. And a bowl of sweet potato for dessert. Love both of you! Talked about random stuff. Gossiped and what not. Ahh... how I missed those days. Hopefully, we'll be able to do more of that next semester. Seeing that both Tracy and I have more time to spare next semester (and hopefully Elaine too).

On the side note. I was surprised to have received a message from CS. A gathering on the Saturday I'm back eh.. Now there's a problem. Just got to know that I'll be leaving for Korea on the same day. Hopefully we'll still be able to hang out. Miss you guys. And, another planned gathering with the remaining ADP-ians; peng, chang, gene, hisham, SINN YUIN!... and whoever else that I know. And am certain that I'll meet up with Yi Ling. Of course, not to be forgotten, my bestest buddies, Lisa and CT! And of course, my family. I see that a lot more things is going to happen this time around, when I go home. But thinking of that long journey really makes me want to cry.. LOLz.

Will be trying to finish up some work before I sleep today. Attending Adeline's commencement tomorrow. Photos! hahaha.. In the mean time, enjoy the photos that I've taken today.

More randomness

At Promotions Commons, Peter Nielsen (72 Body Builder Titles, also Mr. Universe) spoke to us about his life, career, and passion. It was a rather, repetitive talk. But it was all right. I think most people were more interesting in seeing him take off his clothes. Than to talk to us about what 10 other speakers have told us, repeatedly. That is to get into a field that you really feel passionate about. Ohyea. they served wraps and pop for a difference today (it's FOC!). They normally serve pizza and pop... LOL A rather healthy change eh?

SCNO presentation went well. The client, and the E-Board members of SCNO seemed to be impressed by our work. Team Lead wanted to buy me and the rest of the team, a drink. I was like.. um.. no thank you. LOL. No 1. I did not want to drink. No 2. I had something to do after that presentation.

Painting of T-shirt. To promote awareness againt's drugs. Was done in the study lounge. Got to know a couple more of my floor mates. They are really nice people. Will post the pic of my "masterpiece" when it's dry. Another funny night, with funny conversations. Just my prefered method to hang out.

And of course, more pressure with the addition of one more project due next week. Final project for layout and designing. Final paper for copywriting (I'm almost done with this class. Ok. I must admit that it was not as bad as I would've thought). And final project for interactive advertising. With loncapa and final exam for accounting. And final exam for studio art class. Fun. Just fun.

Yes! I'm still alive! I managed to finish up all 3 ads for 492. And am going to start working on the studio art projects after this... (it's due tomorrow evening). Then, tomorrow, after all the dee's and daa's.. I'll wrap up my 354 projects... Maybe do a little more editing with the posters before I submit my final draft for this semester. Looking forward to friday as I'll be hanging out with Linda and Andrew. Have not seem them forever. Partially because I did not follow them back home for thanksgiving dinner this year.

And yeap! I got a pretty good feedback on the posters that I did. The ones that I posted in this very blog :) I'm a slightly happier person right now. I was also commended by my coursemate. A couple of which whom I personally think are great designers themselves.

Let's see.. I'll procrastinate a little longer. Start doing work. And hopefully will be able to get some sleep tomorrow. I MUST finish up the portfolio pieces today. I DON'T CARE!!!!

WINTER

With that comes the fluffy snow, the rain + snow combi, the blizzard that hurts your face when you're walking in the opposite direction. Also, the pilling projects and notes for the last two weeks of the semester.

Nevertheless, I've always enjoyed the season. Especially when the white snow covers the ground. And when I can make good use of those in a snow ball fight :)
