E-mail

Got another e-mail for a freelance job offer. In a nutshell, it's a job for designing flyers and business cards for a performing art school that has decided to go with a new name, and I assume, a new look? Sent the portfolio for their review and we'll see what's next XD

It's amazing what art galleries can do for you

1st week

First week of class is done and over with. Also dealed with the underenrollment application. What's next? Probably more reading. More conceptualizing. More socializing and stuff. Just wanted to let you know that I'm doing all right.

It's been...

OK I guess. Nothing much going on. I'm, of course, very glad that my luggage made it safe to my place. And, yes, I will have more clothes to wear before I decide to purchase a bottle of detergent - with softerners please!

I see the same people. The same professors. The same crazy-amount of readings (which I'm supposed to finish by tomorrow =="). Play the same sports. Eat, somewhat, the same things. Yet, I feel that there's a lot that has changed. For starters, I moved to a single room, hence, more opportunity for me to communicate with my family and what not. Then there's the fact that I've a lot more studying (in the context of exam preps) to do, as compared to previous semester - well, who doesn't. It's a lousy grievance I guess.

Small talks over, and now to the bigger ones. Classes seems to be pretty interesting. Absolutely love Info Graphics. Seems that I'd be able to learn a lot technically and conceptually. And that should give a boost to my not-so-ready portfolio - for job hunting, and applying to schools. The no. 2 is the Advertising Campaigns class. Don't really have a good feeling about my future groupmates that I've yet to get to know, but the class seems to be one that's going to be pretty rewarding. Moreso when one of the clients is Cheverolet Chevrolet. Hope I didn't mispell XDDD My least favourite of the semester, the literature class, which I've yet to decide which. One's about food. The latter about Asian literature. In terms of context, both seem captivating, but when it came down to the grading, the work load... sucks to the maximum. Again, tradeoffs, I guess.

Happy times. Doubtful times. I've spilled it all out. And it sure feels a whole lot better :) Back to the readings! - burning the midnight oil on the first week of school. COOL XDDDD

A little something

It's been almost a full 4 months when I came back to Kuala Lumpur for summer break. Started off rather exciting with trips to Singapore for the weekend - which I find fascinating, since I've finally seen arcitechture that I've never seen before - followed by the longer, 4days/3 nights trip to Hong Kong/Macau.

Then came the mellow summer where I did not do much, but simply watched a ton of series as I rested on my bed. Of course, there was several instances when I begin to work on projects, which I've failed to complete. I blame my "holiday-mood" for that, yet, it might have been just the other projects, involving family members that had slowed down the work.

In the midst of a decresendo summer, I found pleasure in golf and yoga. I still do, and feel a little sad that I'd have to stop for the coming months. I guess I'll just have to find ways to continue this in the U.S. as I do not intend to loose out to my sister when I come back a few months later XD

Just last week, my new toy - the drawing tablet - gave an accento to the last phase of my summer break.

And in just 2 days, I'll be flying back to the States. I'm aware that I'll miss home more than ever. You know... all that food, the pampering, and the easy-going lifestyle that I've been through for the past 3 months or so. It's been long since I've been home for this long, and I'm glad that I took the time off to experience it XD

On the side note.....

A very happy birthday to my dad, Tracy, and Denise. Gosh! so many people on the same day !!!!!

An evolution. Or not

I was looking back at some pictures from the previous albums to pick out some pictures that'll be used for my dad's birthday "slideshow". When doing that, I took the pleasure of taking photos of my older photos. Decided to lay out a few :)

So... is there an evolution. Or not?
