When I was little
I used to play these:
Description:
Cool German commercial by Honda utilising the popular game Tetris for its advertisement.
Description:
A bizarre commercial by American Express where Roddick goes against classic Pong. Pong all the way!!!
***
And used to hear this:
Description:
Maria Sharapova Nike commercial that is to be shown in the US Open. The people at the background were singing ‘I Feel Pretty’ while Sharapova keeps on a serious look throughout the commercial.

Petronas
I'd say that Petronas, by now has established an image of being a corporation. They have been producing ads that touched the minds of many Malaysians. Examples of such ads include those that were done for festivities like Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Merdeka Day (independence day)etc. These are my top 3 picks.
To watch other ads. Simple type "Petronas Ads" at YouTube.com

AIGA Studio Tour @ Detroit
Ok.. I WROTE A LONG ESSAY BEFORE THIS. And it disappeared when I tried to upload another pic. There's no way that I'll re-write everything (yes-way, ONLY IF I have time to do it again).

Some of the many people who turned up
A quick summary.
Visited 3 different studios with different structures, feels, etc: The Park, under JWT (ad agency), Compuware (in-house ad agency), and DeFrost Design (personal studio co-owned by 2 guys). It was an interesting trip overall. Lots of interesting structures and outdoor ads. And good thai food :P (I couldn't stress this more). And yes. I saw the Ford Stadium.
(Again) GO TIGERS!
Some interesting stuff (at least for me)

*hint* look at the building

Long long day
After "serious consideration", I did not go to KAC before class this morning. Went straight to lecture. Then, another lecture. And another. I was lucky to have got out of class early for the lab today. Went to KAC. To find expensive paints. Looked at the watch. Figure that, oh-well, maybe I should try hobby lobbies. The paints there, even the good quality ones, were so much cheaper than those at KAC! Because of all that travelling, I wasn't able to start working on my hw for tomorrow. Ohwell. It's fine I guess. I'll just work on it after this.
All in all. Classes went well. Got a decent grade for my copy writing assignment (I see some improvement). Classes ended early. Got a very good grade for my studio art mid-term (apparently the highest in class [I A+ almost everything!!! hehe] - but could have done better, if not for the last minute work).
Beware of my prowess... muahaha

Back to work.

[L]oser
I didn't ask my prof about last thursday. And about the grades in the end. I guess I chickened out! Ohwell. I'll just need to not miss anymore lessons and complete my assignments "professionally". It shouldn't be that hard. Except for the getting up, early in the morning part :P
Speaking of which, it was very cold this morning. I was freezing outside (at the bus stop). When waiting for any bus that would take me to the CATA Ramp. I have a bad feeling about accounting later on. I've been missing classes due to several reasons. Let's hope that I won't be too lost when I go for lecture after this.
Will probably go toMichaels (or if I'm lazy enough, just stop by Kresge)after I procrastinate enough in my room Kresge/Michaels tonight or tomorrow morning. To get supplies for class tomorrow. Since, tomorrow will be (yet) another hectic day for me. Classes straight from 10 a.m. with a 2 hours break in the middle. Till 9 p.m. -ish at night.
All right. I shouldn't be whinning, and complaining all the time. I guess I'll finish up some work before I go for the next class :P

Updates
On Friday, did a little (according to Tim) baTminton. Ate with Linda for dinner. Came back. Went to sleep.
On Saturday, did some brainstorming in the morning. Went to Hobby Lobby (my new fav. place!!!) with Christa. Felt a lil bad. Because I didn't go to O-Mart with her. Rushed to the other side of grandriver to meet up with the rest--on-campus people--who went to the hot pot. Ate a lot (Beefball rules!). Somewhat played a lot. Wasn't as active. Nevertheless, it was rather relaxing. A break that I was looking forward to.
Again, brainstormed a little on Sunday morning (was working on a couple of stuff at the same time). Went to Christa's in the evening. Tortured some people :P (just kidding). And managed to (as a group of people) prepare a decent meal. Elaine and Tracy came by to drop us off later (I apologize for the delay). Continued playing until 2 in the morning. Back to the dorms. Slept.

More pics in the "Masak masak" (cooking)album
I feel pretty good today. Altho I did screw up a test (so did the rest of the class- some people got a 0.0 for the 1st test!; it's 10% of our overall grades). Was happy due to the fact that I see hope in my copywriting class. I did (in my opinion) really well in this recent assignment. So well that (I was shocked that) I was called to read out my piece of writing o.O. My re-do's for the previous assignments that were REALLY marked down turned out to be satisfactory as well. If things goes well, I might get a pretty decent grade for this class. Which will definitely make me really happy! :)
Tomorrow, I will try to talk to the "early-class-professor". Explaining how I was too sick to get out of bed. Will see what happens :P. Will try to deal with the air ticket A.S.A.P.

Updates:
I miraculously scored a 93% for my studio art mid-term. And when I say miraculously. I mean it :P

Raising the white flag
I was depressed. Really pressured. Recovered. Was a little happy.
Then saddened. Mood lightened up a little at dinner.
After dinner. Instant breakdown
I don't know what to say. And don't know what to do.
And no. I don't want you to tell me what to do.
Just leave me alone. For now.
I need some time to clear my thoughts

OPpsie...

I woke up. Having heard noises in the room. It was Helen. She was rushing to class. Then I thought. Today is Thursday. Don't I have an early class too? Yes. I did. And when I look outside, it was too bright to be 8 a.m. Got on hold of a clock. It reads: 10.30 a.m. Not only did I miss the first class. I did too, for the the second one. I guess you can look at the situation from two difference perspectives. 1. If i didn't go to class: I'll still know the materials (one's completely from the book. The other is online) . And I get to get some good sleep [I've been lacking that. I didn't sleep the night before] 2. If I did go to class: I won't have gotten that much deduction from my total percentage [attendence is 30% of the grade-it's a lab]
Lesson(s) of the day.
Don't forget to set your alarm clocks.
Or get someone to give you morning calls
p/s: that's 1.5 of my final percentage there! NO. I didn't plan for this to happen. But as the old saying goes: What's done, is done. There's nothing much that I can do about it. But to try harder for the rest of the semester.
Mid-semester resolution (LOLz)
1. Procrastinate less
2. Sleep earlier
3. Rest more
4. Eat more
5. START attending meetings
seems like grades don't matter as much as it used to. Is this what it means to be a creative? Or is it just simply being a senior... you tell me

A new habit

I've got into the habit of taking random pictures. Don't ask. Just accept it. Been working on things. Lots of things. Some are fun stuff, while some aren't. Nevertheless, I am thankful, blessed with the opportunity to experience this kind of life.
Side note: Not doing good at all for copy writing. Maybe a little more effort would help. And perhaps, a little extra effort. In fact, I didn't feel good in anything that happened thus far. Copy writing sucked. Accounting, I'm guessing, was fairly ok. Layout and designing wasn't too bad. And lots of work to do for studio art (AND COPYWRITING). I must say that I've not been doing this much things in such short period of time for a while. It's like, I'm giving it my best shot, but it isn't my best shot. I don't know what I"m talking anymore. This shows signs of exhaustiveness. I guess.
Time to sleep!
Ciao

Updates
Was helluva weekend. Had lots of fun. And yea.. you bet I'm having lots of fun doing hw now. Lolz
Friday was rather boring. I don't exactly remember what I did. Right. I went to COMArtrs to print some stuff. That's about it.
Saturday started at 12:00p.m. Witnessed the first "inter-organization" (don't know the exact title) basketball tournament. It was pretty interesting. Then, to Kiva. It was such a let down when I saw the scores of the football game againts UM. So much of a let down that I decided not to watch on. To dinner. Then, to the library. Spent an hour or so in there. Hop onto a bus, and "partied" in a friend's room. Learned several languages, cultures of different ethnicity (Russian, Polish, Korean etc). And was mesmerized by the different languages they speak.

Curry party (organized by the "Nihon-jin's") was the highlight of the first day of the week. Ate three plates of curry (so did Christa). Met with lots of people. Some that I have not familiarize myself with. And some that's completely new to me. Jamaicans' seem to be the second on the "New Friends" list, after Korea.

Thank you all. For inviting me, giving me rides, accompanying me.
Back to work.

NO. I didn't write that. Nor did I translate is using any online translators. I copied. Pasted. End of story.
Nevertheless, I wish everyone-
Version 1:

Version 2:
"Happy mooncake festival"
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLEN!
I'm VERY proud to announce that I never felt this alive. Ever.
Alive, because I'm constantly doing something. No breaks.
But, who cares. I'm having "fun". (Ehem*)

First day: ADV492
I'm really pumped up! Why, you ask? Because...
ADV492 has finally started! And I feel good about it (at least for now).
Henry Brimmer, our professor is one awesome graphic artist. He has ample experience in the field. And I am convinced that he'll lead me that way, to guide me prepare myself an up-to-industry-standard portfolio. Nevertheless, I feel the pressure from taking this course. He (Henry) emphasized that there will be lots work. Oh well, (again, I'm constantly reminded that) with good stuff comes great sacrifice.
Putting that aside; I've been doing pretty well in the other courses (other than THAT one). No doubt, I've been busy with assignments. Nevertheless, I've been having a good time (again, other than THAT one) layout designing. Did I mention that my professor was amazed by one of my work? The one with the title, "wings". Somehow, it sounds like buffalo wings at the moment. Maybe I'm hungry.
I must say that I'm gifted in wasting time. Busy schedule. Mountains of assignments. Yet, I'm amazed that I could still squeeze in some leisure time in my already-apparent hectic schedule. I guess that's called, "time-waste management".
And so, I spent my weekend doing several things. Went to Conrad for "Pirates of the Carribean 2" with Tim and Joe. Then, to Crossing Place. Monopolied till 4:00a.m. Crazy, I know. What to do? No one volunteered to declare brankruptcy. The next day, slacked the whole day (if I didn't remember wrongly). Then ate at Omi with a party of 10.
On the sunny day, I wasn't throwing frisbee. Instead, we (a few people) went to the Main Library. I "devoured" 12 issues of Times. Four issues of Newsweek. Four issue of Wall Street Journal (I'm getting this for free at COMArts entrance now. Hooray!). With the hopes to learn something useful (for my "THAT" class assignment). Never found any desired ads. Was a little dissapointed. Yes. I had dinner at the library. Three dishes for four, anyone? I went home around midnight. It was definitely a reminiscense of Spring semester.
All right. It's time to do some work. Yes. You've got it right. It's work for "THAT" class. Plus some preparation for tomorrow. And the day after.
I proudly annouce, "I'm still alive" (at this moment).
