JustSomeThought

La la la.... I got my grades for the test on tuesday. To my dismay, I didn't do exceptionally well in this test. Well, to be truthful, I know that I lack the preparation that was needed to do well in the tests (**hint hint** yes, I had another one today - and I must have done some serious damage to my overall score).

TRUE. I can complain all I want. About the amount of workload I had, about my time constraints and what not. However, I know it by heart that I am the one who's making everything seem like everything needs to be done in a hurry, and that there's just no way for me to give it my best shot(I usually do better than this under the same circumstances). Nevertheless, I still stick to my philosophy that I perform best when my stress peaks up, when its at the highest point that I can handle.

Maybe I'm just not in my best shape right now.

Ohwell, we'll see what happens to my grades in 2 months time. Until then, I'll just need to try my best to maintain it to the best of my ability. Afterall (I'll give this quote a 5/10), "Grades are not everything!"

'D' weekend

I had lots of fun over the weekend (which leaves me with no choice, but to work hard as soon as I finish typing this entree =.=") Nevertheless...

THANKS GUYS!
For entertaining me over the weekends. I really needed those stress relievers..LOL

5riday: TheGossipers
On friday, I played racquetball with two of my best girl friends in STATE (Elaine and Tracy) at IM West. As hyper as I am rumored to be, I played 3 hours of the ball game XD, back to the dorms in shorts, slackers and nothing but a T-shirt, then headed to Hubbard for dinner (to find out that my other friends were eating there as well... and guess what?! played a prank on someone and of course, three of us had a good laugh!)

Went to church after chit-chatting for an hour of so in the cafeteria (which was 20 percent facts, 80 percent gossips). Seriously, I think that we didn't stop gossiping, but rather proceeded on to the next level, which is to talk about the most random things that you could've never imagined (I shall not disclose this >.< )

It is a pity that I couldn't 100% grasp what was being discussed during the bible study on friday night (I began to realize what she was talking about, only after she talked about the topic for nearly half and hour). There is no doubt that there were some disrepancydiscrepancy (between my own beliefs and the materials presented). Nevertheless, I thought that the topic was very interesting and it is definitely something that is worth thinking about.

6aturday: TheParty-ers
Saturday wasn't all that fun until later at night, when we went to Udon in conjunction with Juliet's birthday. Did lots of fun stuff like ummm... playing games (alright.. I find it fun only because it was my first =.="), karaoke-ing (I know I wasn't all that great), talked to a bunch of people that I haven't been talking to for ages, and of course, got to know some people a little better. I know it sounds really fun.. in fact it was really fun, but its no fun to just describe things using words SOOOooo... I've decided to keep this short, and hopefully I'll elaborate on this someday (when I get my hands on the pictures)

Anyway, thank you Paul, for giving me a ride back (+ the advises and what not) MUAHAHAHAH!

And of course, thanks Tim, for trying to make me sing another time (uhuh.. no TQ)

7unday: The Monguls
I must say that Mongolian BBQ was fantastic (well, I wouldn't say that the food was perfect) but it was great for us to have a good time together before the start of a new school week. I must say that we had lots of fun, trying to figure out the best combination of meat(s), vegetable, pasta, sauce and spices. Took lots of pictures of us XD (I love pictures!) and as usual, talked a lot about anything and everything. Everything was well until I found out that Tracy and Elaine got stranded there because they missed the last bus. Good thing that they had a savior ..lol ~ I'm sorry guys, my bad =.=" I'll chip in for the meal, I promise!

Also, good to know that my team mates were happy with my work (the logos). They liked all of them! I'll give it my best shot! I promise.

Well, enjoy the pictures!

Then•Now•Future

Then

I was a "student" and occasionally, an "entertainer" who had a good time. There wasn't any concerns of what so ever. I was happy, cheerful, and if you would, LOUD.

Now

I remain a "student", but a less motivated one, an "entertainer" who is, most of the time, perceived as a nuisance. In contrast of what I was before, I slowly transformed into what you would call a "hysteria", a 'creature' who's constantly worried about practically everything; worried about how people perceived me, worried if I can live up to people's expectations, worried about my future, worried if I made the right choices.

I wonder what happened to the confident me, the girl who did not let any critiques get in her way, the girl who was strong enough to take up any challenge, to be able to put a positive light to everything she sees, the girl who sets herself as the ultimate barrier in order to be a "successful person".

And so, I became someone who appear to be cheerful and happy, and LOUD ONLY if I think that it is okay to be loud. Yes, you would argue that it is only appropriate "to act like one's age" (I guess it is not socially acceptable for a 20 year old to be loud and noisy at all times, neither it is appropriate for a 20 year old to be jumping around), BUT why must I act like everyone and anyone else on the streets? Why must I follow the norms of what it takes to become an ideal "adult" in a society? Why must I become a billionaire in order "to be successful"? Why can't I just paint to my heart's content? Is it so socially unacceptable for one to be able to live her life to the fullest without money, without possesions? Why should everyone compare themselves to the person next door?

Several friends of mine (high school) once asked me what I would do in the future. Without any hesitation, I told them that I was determined to venture into the field of arts. And their respond, you ask? "WHAT?! and I thought that you were going to become a doctor because you are SOOO into biology". I told them that I was more interested in arts and guess what, they told me that I was going to regret, making this decision because "we respect doctors" and not artist that you can find in any nook and cranny of the "central market" (FYI: My relatives, my parents and et cetera felt the same) We were brought up to become materialistic people, striving to become "the ideal".

Of course, I do not expect everyone to have the same thoughts, but at the very least, I hope that more of my friends will be able to accept me as who I am, to at least try to go along with my "childish" behaviors, to be able to have fun and hang out with the real me, to be able to understand the real me, to have more people where I can truly share my worries, truly laugh with, truly hang out with. Yes, of course, I can take critiques, I can try to change, BUT if I continue to change, you will never get to know my, what I call, true personality, the personality that I've been constantly trying to protect all this time. As I've told most of you before, I'm happiest when my friends and people around me are happy, and so I'm willing to do what ever it takes to achieve that, even if it means to give up my beliefs of what I should be

Future

After a series of failure in trying to convince people that being childish is not a bad idea for a 20 year old, I've come to a conclusion that this might as well be the turning point of my life. Maybe I should just try to be a matured kid (in accordance to the society's standard) or I will never advance. I'm tired of the constant conflict in my brain, the ever so vigorous battle of my id and my superego, so vigorous that my ego is falling apart. It hurts me a lot when I get into fights with people around me, to not be able to maintain friendships.

And so, I might as well work my way in becoming a friendly, happy, obedient, competitive girl who acts like the other 20 year olds. I know that I need to clear the fog that has been accumulating since young or I'll never see my path. I need to have a clear view of what I should become even if it means giving up what I want to become.

Pisces

I'm supposed to be... (neh~ just kidding)

PISCES
Caring.
Smart.
Center of attention.
Too Sexy, DAMN IT <-- =.="
Very high sex appeal.
Has the last word.
Extremely weird but in a good way.
Super good in bed

And so... It is already half way through the week.. Or rather, "the last day" of school for the week for me BUT... I really have a bad feeling about the weekend. As usual.. Lots of stuff to do; readings (one whole novel o.O), preparation for 2 exams (ADV and MSC), draft for research paper, and revision of my 2nd assignment... ++ think of what to do for "courage day", and work out my messed up schedule =.="... ON TOP OF THAT... I will be pretty occupied throughout the weekends (my version of the weekend starts from Thursday nights.. HAHA); SCNO meeting on Thursday night, brunch with a few guys on Friday morning-ish, squash with my girl friends in the afternoon, church (probably) at night..., followed by dinner on Saturday night (I don't know if I should go... This is in conjunction with another girl's birthday on the 25th, and then, dinner again.. On Sunday with a bunch of friends and my roomie~ we were going to celebrate our birthdays (hers on the 26th)... And the finale of my weekend would be another SCNO meeting at night at the Business Library...

In conclusion.. I should finish up as much as I can~ and this leaves me with one option, a 24-48 hours drill on homework and et cetera~ And who knows... I might just break MSU's 3 1/2 day without sleep record XD

On the side note, lots of interesting things happened today (at least it was interesting for me). I had brownies and rice cakes (FREE!!!) today, before the writing class.. Apparently, these girls (one of which I've not met before) prepared those for a potluck for one of their classes (but at the end.. Everything brought cookies =.="). They were yummy... Seriously~ And then, my course mates started wishing me a Happy Birthday... (she told me that she forgot on Monday =.=") and so... Everyone started wishing me happy birthday. Right after that, I bumped into Sushi and Koby.. Thought that I was going to mess with them. So, I told them that I was mad because they did not wish me~ they "freak out" hahahh~ I was kidding... I have a feeling that I got this bad habit from "someone" LOLZ... And then, later at night, Jessica wished me a happy belated birthday (she just found out from Andrea) ahahha~ Yea.. And so, those were some of the highlights of the day~ WAHAHAHA

Great Dinner

Designed by Linda Beach XD

Andrew and Linda organized a party (dinner) at their place in conjuction of ehemehem* . It was a great dinner BECAUSE they served curry (I ate every last bit of it =.="!!!!) ~along with other stuffz like fresh pineapples, shrimp, RICE, some cocktail (made of pineapple juice +something =.=") AND... a 3 layered coconut cake (was white in color with white candles: It looks so pretty!!! but I ate it anyways, and I took 1/4 of the cake home XD

Of course, we did not only EAT EAT and EAT. We talked about many things like plans for the summer, Andrew's and Linda's family (lots of people are getting married this year~ LOL), DURIAN (food) XD, S'more (food again =.=" - which eventually led to the topic of camping) Jasmine (their dog), the 3 layered cake and so on.

Overall, I would say that the night was fun! Moreover, its been a while since I saw all of them (Andrew, Linda, and Elaine) As far as I can remember, I've always had fun whenever I hang out with them, may it be to a hockey game, dinner at their home (old and new), thanksgiving at Andrew's parent's house (100% made of logs~ looks super cool! - believe it or not, you can see deers walking outside.. LOL + super delicious food as well XD + of course, really nice people!) 'Andy' and Linda, thank you so much (for the wonderful dinner + prezzie) !!! HUGS*

On the side note, would like to thank Tracy and Elaine for the card~ Its so sweet... I'm touched T.T. Would also like to thank the early and 'on time' wishers .. HAHAHA.. Wanted all of you to know that I really appreciate/treasure (however you want to put it) our friendship XD Of course, I would also like to thank my publicist, LiSze de Chuah for actively publisizing me.. LOL

Will be posting up more pictures of tonight's dinner once Linda sends the picture over XD

Told you that I was pictorevolutionizing my blog XP

Anyways, I did these flyers for my roomie who's really into community servies. Initially, we were planning to draw 5 diferent flyers for the same purpse... but she left for fencing, and I was kinda la-z to draw 5 different flyers. Well, its not like I dislike drawing by hand or anything like that ( In fact, I persnally prefer hand made stuffz ie. posters, flyers and etc). I just thought that this might just be a good chance for me to practice my graphic designing skills, and, at the same time add another piece of " art" into my portfolio =.=. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the whole process of making this

On the side note, I will be making a corporate logo, a flyer and 2 brochures for my assigned client. I'm really excited about it, but at the same time, pressured, as this it is a company's image that we're talking about. On top of that, I agreed to help my roomie to make a brochure for one of her other projects! hahah... looks like its going to be soo much fun XD (Warning: this is not sarcasmn)

So, which do you like? the grayscaled one... or the one with color?? XD

    Dilemma

Would you rather graduate early with good grades, graduate early with bad grades + working experiences or would you prefer graduating a little late (more $$$) with good grades + working experience?

What do you think? Leave me some comments

    Tuesday, March 14

    Kacang

I've been thinking a lot lately... maybe too much to the point that it's driving me nuts! Maybe I'm better off when I'm bombarded with tones of work, to the point that I don't have the time to think. This might just be the reason why I like to pile up my work and try to get my hands on as many extra work as possible. Maybe that's just my way of refraining myself from freaking out all the time and from getting too stressed out to the point that I find myself in the state of depression. Well, if that is what it was all about, it is definitely not working right now.

Ohkay.. I know that I'm over-posting =.= TOO BAD! There were just too many surprises over the weekend! :D And I'm lovin it!Its been a tough day for me. Had to walk to the main library to check out some books that may be useful for my research paper (for the writing class)... Going to go through it, and hopefully, come out with a full fledged outline that is due this wednesday. Apart from that, I've been doing the readings (again, for the writing class) all day long.... Ehemm... shouldn't have procrastinated too much =.= my bad.. my bad..

Other than the above, I have one more assignment (ad analysis, that is due on tuesday). I've finish reading the assigned reading, and it is just a matter of time before I complete it. Haven't found a suitable ad to analyze (need to analyze it using the theories covered in the assigned readings for that day: learning and memory --> yeap.. the stuffz in PSYC 101 =.=") I'm glad that I finished those readings~ I'm hoping that everything is all well and done by tomorrow evening **MY TARGET!!**

Went to dinner today with Tim, Joseph and Michelle at Holmes to find out that I have souvenirs from NewYork. Having said that, would like to thank Joe and Tim for the gifts.

    Weirdo

Woke up at 7a.m. (give or take an hour :P). My eyelids were sooo heavy this morning until 12 in the afternoon. Was pretty much awake uptill 12 midnight BUT was sleeping on and off while watching movies. AND NOW... I just couldn't get myself to sleep (it is 5.31a.m) after a full day of fun stuffz. Hmm.. maybe I should start 'the race', that is to stay up for 3 whole days~ Wonder if I will ever make it :P I'll probably be a walking zombie by the time the mission is accomplished.

On the side note: I went to this artsy fartsy store today and found many interesting stuffz. I have a feeling that I will be visiting that place soon. And yeah, I seriously think that I should start painting again. How I miss those days when I get to do lots of crafty stuffz + oil paintings. Owh.. they had the raw materials for glass painting too >.<

p/s: I didn't go on the "staying awake for 3 days" stint afterall :P
