Sorry!

I apologize for not updating the blog as regularly as I used to. So, here's a little update for the past (few?) weeks.

School has been all right. Nothing unusual in particular. For 3D, we've started to work with porcelin, as well as clay. I have been making lots of cups that would eventually be fired and glazed (then fired again).

For 4D, we're starting on Final Cut Pro and that would last for about a month. It's funny how I was trying to figure out what's wrong with the program and I was sort of cut off from what the teacher was teaching. Fortunately, I was able to understand the idea that my teacher had in mind, and that had made it a whole lot easier (working with the program). I think I am going to enjoy using this program as I uncover the many functions and effects that it has to offer.

History classes, on the other hand, has been relatively interesting. I will be having my midterm for Modern Arts this thursday (cross your fingers), then Art History in about 2-3 weeks later. We have started on Buddhism (India) in class today. It is funny how I was asked to explain a little bit about the life of Buddha. I was kind of surprised, nevertheless, thrilled to be able to share my very limited knowledge of The One that was once known as Siddharta Gautama. However, it is unfortunate that I haven't been able to recall much of the details (hoping that this class would do the trick).

Last but not least, the Athena Project has had its ups and downs. Lots of paper in the near future, along with lots of hyper kids (which may, or may not be a good thing). I don't exactly know the direction of this class, but as usual, hoping for the best

Midterm reviews are this week, and I am somewhat excited to know what my teachers have to say about my performance in class thus far.

Weekend was spent in Chinatown as usual. In addition to that, I was taking lots of pictures due to the fact that it was the CNY weekend. And like I expected, there were lots of CNY decorations and items all over Chinatown. Did my usual grocery shopping, and convinced myself to buy a couple of things that I would have not had considered buying if it was not for CNY (chinese sausages, "lin go", and coconut shreds to make the dessert) The dessert turned out really well and was gone by the next day (obviously, some other people had slices and what not) I think I might try to see if they are selling the left overs so that I can make a second round of it before it goes obsolete for the next 12 months of the year. (p/s: pictures are on FB)

On Sunday, we went to town (SF) for pillow fight. Being the photo freak that I am, I was too busy trying to take photos that I have had no time to join in the mess (like yeah.. MESS). Basically, there were lots of pillows, people, hitting on each other. It was funny how 4 little kids were attacking an adult over and over again, to the point that the elder gave up and stayed on the floor. So yea, that was that, and I shall upload the pictures once I filter them some other time this weekend.

Just yesterday I made a all in one tofu, egg, tomato, minced meat dish that was absolutely delish. I shall upload the photo (like the usual hp quality ones) when I get home.

This weekend will be fun because of the dumpling party, which I am totally going to go to, since the CNY parade at SF will be on the weekend after. I am really excited because dumpling parties has never failed me in the past :)

Back to my history book. Before that,

Happy Chinese New Year

Take care
